The New Faces of CarScoop's 2015 Ford Mustang, Allegedly Tweaked to Resemble the Real Thing

Not too long ago, CarScoop's design guru Josh Byrnes gazed into his "crystal ball", as he said, to see what the future holds for the next generation of the Ford Mustang by offering his own interpretation of the pony car's styling.

Josh's speculative take blended the shape and styling elements of the retro-penned fifth generation model (both the original and the facelifted versions) with hints from Ford's modern design language as displayed in cars like the production Taurus and the conceptual Evos.

Several sites and forums quickly picked up the rendering with readers touching up our original design (we can assure you, none of them asked us), some of whom lightly modded the rendering with new elements like the headlamps based on what they heard from owners who rated the next Mustang at a recent consumer clinic.

Among the many European product presentations and announcements made by Ford during its "Go Further" brand event in Amsterdam earlier today, was the availability of the Mustang in Europe.

Ford Mustang 5.0 Rear-Ends Mustang GT which then Crashes into a Corvette [NSFW]

We know that you might be expecting to hear a deep voice coming from the background saying, "I'm in good hands", but instead what you will be hearing in this video after the crash is a whole lot of "Oh's" and an assortment of curse words.

We don't have much information about the accident, though the vehicles involved in the crash appear to belong to some sort of sports car convoy (that or it's a viral video for a insurance company – we just can't be sure).

In two days' time, the Blue Oval's performance brand will be showing a special display in Mustang Alley at this year's Woodward Dream Cruise muscle car and classic car event.

Nitrous-Powered Ford Mustang Goes Down with a Big, Bright and Loud Bang

It's not uncommon for street racers to use a nitrous oxide system (NOS) as an oxidizing agent to temporarily boost the power output of their internal combustion engines.

Amusingly, nitrous oxide (N2O) is also known as the laughing gas – yes, it’s the same anesthetic drug used by your dentist.

However, something tells us that the owner of this Fox-body Ford Mustang wasn't in the mood for laughing when the NOS backfired blowing the top half of the intake manifold through the hood while he was getting ready to race against a fifth generation Mustang.

Lamborghini Gallardo T-Bones Shelby GT500 that Continues Like Nothing Happened [Updated]

Whenever you compete in a race and as much as any driver would like to avoid it, there is always the possibility that something might go wrong and you end up leaving your vehicle in shambles.

Which is precisely what happened to a driver of what appears to be a fairly stock Lamborghini Gallardo during a recent racing event called 'Formula GT500 Copa' that took place in Medellin, the second largest city in the Republic of Colombia.

Their next automotive victim is the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 'Eleanor' from the 2000 Hollywood blockbuster 'Gone in 60 Seconds' starring Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie.

2015 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Design Concept: A Look Into the Future

As the current life-cycle of arguably America’s most iconic automotive nameplates draws to an end, all eyes are looking towards the near future and locking on to the next Ford Mustang that will arrive in 2014 as a 2015 model, right in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the pony car.

Now in writing this I must confess to admiring the styling of the current Mustang, with its chiseled bodywork and retro throwbacks it does get my heart pumping - almost bordering towards cardiac arrest in GT500 form.

So where to from here for Ford and the global design studios that have a hand in penning the next Mustang; should they look to the past for inspiration or should they follow a clean slate approach that throws all previous retro elements into the shredder?

In protecting its loyal customer base, Ford will want this to be a home run, so expect some familiar cues combined with a more futuristic look incorporating the company’s Post-Kinetic design language.

Ford Mustang 5.0 Jumps 70 Feet Before Crash Landing on a Brick Wall

Like it or not, accidents are an unavoidable part of the motor racing world, something that all drivers have to live with.

Steve Butscher is one of those fortunate drivers that had a serious accident but lived to tell the tale almost unscathed.

While running in the AIX Outlaw Ford Mustang 5.0 at the Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California, last month, Butscher entered turn No8 too fast and too wide and as a result, slid his tires on the dirt at a speed of around 130mph (209km/h).
